When do plan changes take effect?

Upgrades apply immediately with proration; downgrades and cancellations wait for your next billing date.

Upgrades apply right away, with the difference prorated onto your next invoice; your included allowance is re-granted at the new plan’s amount immediately, and whatever you hadn’t used carries over as rollover (up to one month of the new amount). Downgrades and cancellations take effect at your next billing date — you keep everything you paid for until then, and nothing is prorated; when a downgrade applies, any allowance above the new plan’s monthly amount is trimmed. Unused prepaid balance is always yours either way.

Good to know: “up” and “down” are decided by price. Only one change can be scheduled at a time — switch back to your current plan to unschedule a downgrade before choosing another, and resume a scheduled cancellation before changing plans. Only the first plan change in a month re-grants the allowance; a second change in the same month waits for the next monthly reset.
